Telugu Media and the National Media is overwhelmed as the Former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Shri  Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy rejoins Congress in the presence of Congress President Shri Rahul Gandhi…all thanks to Shri M M Pallam Raju former Union Minister.

I am happy not because he chose to come back…instead I’m overwhelmed that I got an opportunity to personally meet this Humble Humane

It was on the 9^th July 2018 that my good friend Akula Bhagyalakshmi who was active in Jai Samaikya Andhra movement, managed an appointment with him.

Both of us reached his Residence in Hyderabad like late lateefs…but he was very kind to accommodate the delay. Hyderabad mein aisa hicch hota hai!!

His residence is beautifully designed simple yet sober. As we enter there’s a small waiting area outside his Study or Meeting room. Minimal opulence, with an eye to protect the priceless Vintage woodwork.

We were made comfortable as some one was inside with him. A short chitchat with Mr. Kethiry Srinivas Reddy, a very close friend and associate of Kiran Kumar Reddy, before we were invited to his chamber.

We entered little excited little anxious as to how will he respond to us…Namaskaram was promptly reciprocated by the kurta clad Kiran Kumar Reddy, with a gentle smile on his studious face. He gestured us to be seated in the chairs across his desk.

A cozy little office room with well maintained vintage wooden furniture…very subtle and minimal. As I’m not a Political enthusiast I thought it better to observe the Trio discuss. Garrulous as I am couldn’t refrain from joining the conversation for a good half an hour. He is very friendly and easy going.

The topics were any body’s guess United Andhra Pradesh and the Divided Andhra Pradesh…

The Humble man spoke elaborately on the fight against Congress to stop the Bifurcation…every word was soaked in pain what he still feels for the loss of Telugu people.

 Hats off to the leader in him who refused to become a Politician…he is still only wanting to fight for the rights of Andhra Pradesh. In my opinion he wouldn’t have been in Politics had he another option to fulfill the promises made by the Central Govt during the Bifurcation.

As we heard him speak today saying his Loyalties for Congress Party date back to his Father’s time, he strongly believes that if the Twin Telugu States have to benefit from Center then both should be ruled by Congress. His Heart beats for both the States…he won’t give up till he ensures the Re Organization Act.

One important point that I will underline is that he is absolutely thorough with every minute details of the State and Center..be it Politics or Policies or Problems. It will be challenging for his team to match his vigor .

We must appreciate Pranabda for accepting the Invite gracefully…we need to acknowledge the fact that he is free to take his decisions irrespective of the fact that he has been a Congress man for a majority period of his Political career.

At the same time we must have faith in his wisdom to conduct himself with utmost dignity in the Fortress of ‘Hindutva’, irrespective of the fact that he is a staunch ‘Secular’ INDIAN.

With whatever little knowledge I have…I can bet he will impart some valuable lessons to the Siksha Varg of Shakha, who has deviated itself from the true essence of Hinduism and is carrying the vicious agenda of Hindutva.

Kudos to Congress Leadership which has come in support to Pranab da’s decision.

Hindutva or Hindu Nationalism wants Uniform Civil Code….what happens to the population that has been following other Religious Faiths?

Are the Hindus willing to accept Fascism?

Is Nationalism limited to Hinduness?

#Aspirants of Bifurcation

After BJP came in support for separate Telangana in 1997 with a promise of ‘one vote two States’ in the subsequent year elections…the struggle started breathing again.

All the Political Parties of the State wanted to get benefited from the movement and started adding fuel to the fire. However as long as the Lion called Y S Rajashekhar Reddy was alive, no one could make any noise.

On 2^nd Sep 2009, Andhra Pradesh lost majestic YSR to the tragic accident…state was left without able leadership.

All the vicious heads started gaining strength, not one thought it was our own state and we are killing its glittering glory.

Every Party including YSR Congress, founded by his own son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came in support of TRS founded by K Chandrashekhar Rao.

N Chandrababu Naidu, President of TDP lead the way to Delhi by writing a letter supporting Bifurcation.

In his letter dated 18 October 2008, Naidu wrote to then Minister of External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee expressing his party's support to the formation of a separate Telangana state.

"The Politburo of the Telegu Desam Party has discussed thoroughly on the conclusions arrived at by the Core Committee and agreed with its recommendations in favour of formation of a separate Telangana State," the letter had said.

 

Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was quick enough to follow him.

YSR Congress on 28 December 2012, wrote to Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde expressing support for Telangana given the conditions no injustice is done to anyone.

"As per the decision taken... we reiterate that our party respects sentiments of the people of Telangana... All we request from you is a solution acceptable to all without injustice to any one taking into consideration all aspects and problems, at the earliest, in a fair, just and equitable manner as a father would do," the letter signed by MV Mysura Reddy and KK Mahender Reddy had said.

It won’t be fair to blame others when Congress was in power both in the State and Centre.

Where there was a demand for Bifurcation, there was an agitation for United Andhra “ Samaikhya Andhra”. 

 Lack of strong leadership in the State resulted in gross mismanagement of the situation… inadequately researched reports were fed to the centre, local leadership failed in gaining the confidence of people of either states. 

Centre was yielding to the pressure built up by power hungry politicians who believed Bifurcation would double their chances of enjoying power or political employment.

Here I won’t hesitate appreciating Smt Sonia Gandhi for having the courage to stand by her word come what may….every one with little commonsense knew it was a suicidal mission for Congress in Andhra Pradesh that would impact its existence in the centre. 

Congress lost power in 2014 elections and we witnessed all the chameleons who swore to worship Sonia Gandhi gave in to the lust of sharing power with BJP.

Never the less Congress has the history of rising like a Phoenix from the ashes…. Yes Rahul Gandhi will be the much required change in the Indian Politics.

I have one small request… Rahul Ji please ensure The Two Telugu States have an able voice that can heal the wounds and help  Congress bounce back.

Story of Two Telugu States

It’s her 4th Birthday and I wish her many more happy returns of the each one marked with glory and success.
I am talking of Telangana is the 29th and the youngest state India which was formed on 

2^nd June 2014.

Quick History of Telangana:

In the year 1955 Hyderabad was recommended to retain its identity as a separate state however the States’ Reorganization Commission moved past the suggestion. This gave birth to the idea of “Separate Telangana”

In 1956, Telangana merged with Andhra on 1st November to form a united state of Telugu-speaking population called Andhra Pradesh. The union wasn’t acceptable to many leaders of Telangana. They accused Andhra leaders for colonizing and land grabbing apart from hijacking their jobs. 

In 1969, the simmering anger took shape of agitation against the Government. Students, employees, social activists and leaders took active lead and unfortunately the stir led to a tragic loss of 369 students due to police firing. 

Then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi formulated a six-point agenda that focused on preferential treatment to local candidates in employment and accelerated development of backward regions in the state.

BJP’s Role:

As always hungry for power BJP came in support for separate Telangana in 1997 with a promise of ‘one vote two States’ in the subsequent year elections. 

TRS emerged as the Flag Bearer:

Founding of TRS Telangana Rashtra Samiti by K Chandrasekhar Rao on 27^th April 2001 intensified the simmering movement

2009 the movement became a mass movement and the Union Government (UPA2) announced the formation of separate Telangana State on December 9, 2009. 

However the Centre backtracked on the statehood issue on December 23, 2009 as people in the Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema regions took to violent protests against the announcement.

The movement continued with hundreds of suicides, strikes, disturbances to public life.

Sonia Gandhi the ultimate Incumbent:

Following the continuous agitations, the Congress Working Committee under the guidance of Smt. Sonia Gandhi, unanimously passed a resolution on 30 July 2013 to recommend the formation of a separate Telangana state and cabinet approved the bill in December 2013. 

Parliament of India passed the final bill in February 2014 paving the way for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and creation of Telangana State with 10 districts from north-western AP. On 1^st March 2014 the President gave the assent and published in the Gazette. 

Telangana was officially formed on 2 June 2014 with K.Chandrashekar Rao getting elected as the first chief minister of the state with TRS securing majority of the votes in the elections. 

Hyderabad was accorded as the joint capital of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for a period of 10 years.

Once again I wish this Young State of Telangana a very Happy Birthday and a very Prosperous Future ahead.

Let me explain:  

The Ace Family of India has contributed in a big way to the country for over a century now. Many ups and downs in these hundred years needn’t be mentioned, what needs to underlined is the fact that they kept their heads up in thick and thin, in happiness and sorrows, win and defeat, appreciation and criticism,  in Birth and Death , love and hate, in power and opposition……

Yes as every Powerful Family they too have been judged at every point by everyone….known or unknown

Lets look an ideal condition of being born in the fifth Generation Legal Heir of power and riches….what are the general characteristics of the person:

Opulent

Arrogant

Secluded 

Proud

Merciless

Inhuman

Narcissist

Ignorant….etc

Back to the essence of the purpose of writing this the one and only Rahul Gandhi.

I was Politically ignorant till the great Demonetization was imposed on Indian households….that was when I took to Social Media as a Neutral Indian Citizen voicing my concerns for the people who felt punished for no crime of theirs. As days passed I became more anti Modi Govt , that was when one dedicated Congress Volunteer Manish Sood, who was keeping a watch on my Tweets approached me and guided me how to improve my Tweets and make my voice heard. Of course I was little reluctant and asked him some nasty questions too to shoo him away….but he won’t give up, thanks to the Congress Blood in him that believes in Never Give Up

I started analyzing the modus operandi of the BJP people and compared that to Congress which has been synonymous to India to me….there’s a reason for that I was born in December 1971 the month of Indira Ji splitting Pakistan into two, Patriotism was in the air during that time and it runs in my blood as I am daughter of an Army man.

To my surprise I found the only way Modi Govt is glorifying itself is by tarnishing the mighty image of Congress…. In the process they have employed all the dirty minds and dirtiest tricks to attack the Gandhi family personally and also those who support them for whatever reasons. I personally experienced filth spewed on me, trying to demoralize me with personal sleazy abuses….poor guys lost it to the Congress Blood in me.

I have made my mark as hard core Congressi….that paved my way to be invited for an interactive session with “The Rahul Gandhi” whom I have been studying for an year now…..the transformation from a carefree Person to a caring Leader, from party Vice President with casual attitude to The Party President who says its my time and I take the shots now.

Thanks to Hasiba Amin, on the 27^th March 2018 I went to Delhi little nervous little curious but excited to at least see this effervescent person who can sustain mountain loads of targeted harassment and flash that dimpled smile which can kill the critics without a word.

We waited at the gate as he arrived….hopped out of his vehicle, smiled and went into the venue with lightning speed, here I must appreciate his SPGs who can match his vigor. We were allowed entry where there was provision for high tea in the lawn as we waited for another meeting to end.

It was our turn to enter the ‘Den’…..we made our way in and made ourselves seated. 

Hello! everyone came the lovely voice of Rahul Gandhi from behind as he too entered the hall….paced to his chair and wished good evening to all. 

  

He started with a thank you for coming and asked us to speak on” Why we were Congressis”?….tricky question!! He made it easy by asking what makes them follow Congress Ideology ?

One after the other people started speaking….while he was interactive with who ever spoke like a friend known for years. I was observing the proceedings with my hand up to get a chance to speak, when the beautiful Divya Spandana requested him to give me a chance to speak.

Well I started little nervous because I didn’t come prepared to speak….but to everyone’s surprise I took off like the “Induction Motor” of Three Idiots for half an hour. How did this happen? 

Well it happened because Rahul Gandhi was Rahul Bhaiya then listening very keenly, asking questions, adding points , laughing at the silly jokes, applauding important points above all he encouraged me saying “you have a better understanding of Congress than most of the Congressmen, I am very happy that I met You”. 

OMG!! I felt out of the world…that’s the ultimate compliment anyone can ever get I was so overwhelmed that I wanted to continue for another one hour when he subtly said you should give chance to others also…..he was right because he is Candor Personified. 

Another 15mins when he said thank you very much…..time for photos as he had another appointment 

He met everyone individually while the cameraman captured the moments….it was my turn; my daughter had asked me to get his autograph for her. I carried a book which came handy. I whispered the same to him and he was quick to take the book and pen to sign when I said please write her name on it….he looked at me and  asked “I have to write her name”? I said “Yes” 

He said “let me complete this, I will do it in the end” and handed over the book to his SPG. After some time he took the book and asked me my daughter’s name and wrote 

''Dear Sahitya

All the Best "

Signed and gave me the book back shook my hand once again and repeated “I am happy to meet You” with so much honesty in his eyes….I felt flattered.

I am still euphoric cherishing that moment….

I am penning this page with a lot of respect for the great human whom the world knows as 

The H V Goenka….the name itself sounds mighty King Size

However to me he is my beloved Sir ji the smiling magician who touches lives with his kind words …touched mine too …read on…

I was living in a confined world of my own till the #Demonetisation was imposed on Indian Economy, this wasn’t a reason to worry for me as I barely use cash…but then on 10^th Nov I received a What”s App forward of a BJP leader showing off with his 20lakhs of new currency bills

The citizen in me was furious and I decided to make my voice heard so I created my Twitter account…couple of days were trying as I was learning.

One day I spotted this beard man’s Tweet ‘I feel like Gabbar when ever I visit an ATM” it was so apt to the situation then.. I immediately liked and re-tweeted it … started following the handle and nicknamed the Beard Man “Gabbar”….later I discovered him to be the RPG Chief … but I prefer to call him The “ CEAT Man”.

Since then its been a religious routine to wait for “Gabbar “ to appear on his Time line…in so many months I have had many occasions when we interacted on his T/L no matter its late night …like many regular fans of his I never missed any of his Tweets …more so after he changed his DP with his Million$ Smile.

Of late I had been juggling so many things at home that my energy levels dipped…and I was down with Malaria. I missed my routine…many of my friends called to ensure everything was okay, received many DMs(direct message)….

Of which there was one very cute DM “Kaiase hain aap, sab khairiyat?” the sender was non other than my Sir ji…what a pleasant surprise!!!

His experienced eyes found me missing and his simplicity didn’t stop him from dropping a message for me…I couldn’t have asked for more…recovered with double the speed and am back.

Sir ji for the world you may be a Corporate Honcho, a Multi Billionaire…..for me you are the” Smile Santa” who has taught me to aspire through your inspirational thoughts that pour out of your years of experience.

Sir Ji I look forward to meet you some day....however I won’t be in a hurry…there’s more thrill in longing...

BEING MUSLIM

I was in a situation where I had to take an emergency Visa to travel out of   NORWAY, when the ship we were sailing on was scheduled to sail to  LEVERPOOL, I had to sign off in a small village of  NORWAY called  HAUGESUND as I didn't have a Visa to  UNITED KINGDOM and  I would be liable to pay huge fine for entering without proper Visa stamping.

Not that I was having a  SCHENGEN Visa, but it was much easier for me to get an emergency Visa to fly out of the country. Now the procedures had to be started for me to get the special purpose Visa, the agent was asked to do the needful....I was required to go to the Consulate for the formalities.

Our vessel was there to unload Alumina at one private factory. The vessel was much larger than the Jetty or parking so there was no place for the Gangway or the step up ladder to be lowered for people to climb up or down. So we were forced to use the Pilot Ladder which is basically a rope made tied in the form of a ladder. Most of the men find it tricky as it requires courage and strength to go by the pilot ladder. I am a woman so its even more challenging.

I looked down...it was approximately seven to eight floors of height before I could step on the ground.  I stepped out holding tight , got the grip....two three steps were little scary...after that I was used to the ladder, everything was going good when came the camber and I was not having the wall support...oh...it was swinging...and I really felt like a monkey. Ha ha ha.. finally I jumped down and went to my cab. The driver opened the door for me and we set out to the Consulate.

Its a very beautiful village with around twenty thousand population...with cows in front of independent houses....yes cows...their main products are milk and meat. Lovely houses with gardens and cattle in front. I looked at the people on the roads, most of them were on bicycles with safety helmets and knee guards....kids to senior citizen...I asked the driver why most of them were using cycles? He said its for health and protecting the Environment...lesson learnt...in spite of owning cars people used cycles to conserve the environment.

Finally we reached the Consulate ...Politi or the police officer was seated at the front desk, our agent had already done the initial liaison so I was a welcome guest.....Hi Hi said the officer.....Hi Hi said few more people in the hall. I was taken by surprise...what do they mean by Hai Hai...anything wrong with me...or my papers were not in order?

Looking at me puzzled  the cab driver came to my rescue and told me its their way to say hello... my face lit up... I too reciprocated to the courtesy with their own Hi Hi...one room to the next..to the third...snap taken Visa issued.... First time in my life I have seen a Visa with Ship on it. Took leave and it was Bye Bye together....

On my way back I asked the cab deriver about his family, he had four children, two daughters and two sons....and six grand children. I was curious and asked how many of his children were married? He said no one...yes non of them were married. I felt it was very strange...he laughed and said previously people used to marry first and have children but now they first have children and then marry. Free countries no restrictions and taboos on the contrary Govt supports more children.

Back to my monkey trick.... had to climb back.. this time I was quick... but as I climbed higher my hands started aching... take a deep breath and few more steps,,, jumped in and happy to have completed my adventure. My tickets were ready... I was scheduled to travel next day Via Oslo...Doha ..New Delhi to Hyderabad.

Next morning same story... me and the Pilot Ladder adventure... same cab, driver loaded my luggage in the dickie and we started towards the airport, small airport with bare minimum staff, driver was allowed inside to help me with the luggage upto the security check...Bye Bye he left.

Boarded the connecting flight to Oslo.... landed... had a layover time of  five hours... what should I do? How long can I check on the shops?... women you know can spend hours and days in shops. Oslo airport is very huge with all major international retail chains having their outlets. I checked most of them and reached the cosmetics line... all brands with ready to help sales executives, was a spectacular view... the girls were more than willing to help me pick the products.

There was one part for a free trail makeover... in the airport who has the time? I was looking at one lip colour brand when this girl came to me and requested me to sit on the chair....she wanted to do the makeover on my face. I am not very keen for make up but the way she requested was very convincing.... I agreed because she would wipe my face back to normal after she was done.  Great I was killing my time and she was doing her job plus honing her skills...good for both.

She asked me where was I from... I said from India, she was very happy to find someone talk to her.  I asked about her... she was from IRAN... yes I heard it right... I was surprised to see a girl so far away especially from one of those troubled countries which are targeted for many wrong reasons.  She was very well behaved, soft spoken...with zeal to live... slightly wheatish complexion...not so perfect English... but was very duty minded. I liked her and asked more about her family.

Her family had moved out of Iran in search of work and were doing small jobs to survive.... they had left their everything behind to be called second class citizens in other countries, though the Scandinavian countries have a lot of value for human life. The girl was wanting to get married but couldn't find the 'right' match.

What is the fault of these innocent hard working people to be forced to live like 'Refugees' in other countries?? Just because they were from Iran and born Muslims?? This is not Humanity.... we all are in civilized world where Human Values are protected by Human Rights Commission.... all the big talks one side  and truth of life on the other side..... the two actually don't synch with each other.

I felt sorry for the people of the country...disturbed lives for no fault of theirs.

Yesterday came the fresh Salvo from Trump Govt ...with the stroke of a pen Donald Trump BANNED entry of most citizens especially Muslim Nationals from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Somalia into USA for 90 to 120 days...I don't want to go into the details of that.

I fail to understand why being born as a Muslim is considered a Sin or Crime in this 'World' ?

No wonder they have developed hatred for rest of the world.
